Schools in Harrogate

When mineral springs were discovered in the sixteenth century, Harrogate grew from two smaller settlements into one of Georgian England's most fashionable spa retreats, drawing wealthy visitors to its chalybeate waters in the West Riding of Yorkshire. Around 74,000 people live in the town today. Its civic core is anchored by the Victorian Royal Baths and Valley Gardens of Central Harrogate, with the town occupying North Yorkshire's gentle lower valleys at the edge of Nidderdale.

High Harrogate is among the most sought-after pockets for school catchments, with Cold Bath drawing families competing for primary places along the town's western residential streets. Oatlands and Harlow Hill extend the settled spread to the south. Harrogate railway station connects the town to Leeds in around 45 minutes on the Harrogate line.
