Schools in Haverhill

Post-war housing estates spread across rolling West Suffolk countryside give Haverhill much of its present character, the legacy of planned expansion from the 1950s that transformed a modest market base into a town of around 27,500 people by 2022.

Cambridge lies fourteen miles northwest by road, with bus services linking the town to the university city. Haverhill and Chalkstone draw families competing for primary school places. Kedington sits just to the east as an additional school-competitive village. Camps Road and Little Thurlow complete the residential picture in this corner of Suffolk, bordering both Essex and Cambridgeshire.
