Schools in Northwich

Known to the Romans as Condate and prized for its salt deposits since the first century, Northwich sits where the rivers Weaver and Dane meet on the Cheshire Plain in Cheshire West, some nineteen miles south of Manchester. Salt shaped everything here. The Weaver Navigation, opened in 1721 to carry rock salt, set the town's industrial course; mine stabilisation work completed in 2007 finally resolved the subsidence problem that had defined the built fabric for generations.

The Mid-Cheshire Line links Northwich station to Manchester Piccadilly in around fifty minutes, with services south to Crewe. Hartford is among the most sought-after corners of Northwich for school catchments, drawing families who target the local primary and secondary options, while Leftwich and Barnton extend the competitive stretch across the southern and western edges. Davenham and Weaverham add a residential arc around a town of around 23,000.
