Schools in St. Austell

A china clay town of around 21,000 people in mid-Cornwall, St Austell retains a compact market centre and Victorian terraced streets that spread outward as the kaolin trade built wealth across the surrounding parishes in the nineteenth century. The white spoil heaps are still visible to the north.

Whitemoor is among the most school-competitive pockets in the area, drawing families into its primary catchment from across the wider town. St Austell station links to Plymouth in around forty-five minutes on the Cornish Main Line, with Penwinnick and Foxhole forming the quieter residential fringes that ring the town's older core.
