Schools in Weymouth

A Georgian resort and working harbour town on Dorset's south coast, Weymouth curves around a sheltered bay at the mouth of the River Wey, where around 53,000 residents live midway along the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town's origins date to the twelfth century, and it served as a major embarkation point for the Normandy Landings in 1944 before hosting the sailing events of the 2012 Olympic Games at Portland Harbour. Radipole and Wyke Regis extend the residential spread on the inland and southern edges.

South Western Railway services reach Bournemouth in about an hour. Chickerell, to the town's west, is among the most school-competitive addresses for primary places, while Westham and Littlemoor form the northern residential band where school-age families concentrate.
