Staff use questions and vocabulary to connect physical experience with language.

Warm relationships were a strength. Staff understood individual needs and helped new children become emotionally secure. Children learned to share, take turns, listen and express feelings when disagreements arose. Routines encouraged them to put on boots and waterproof clothing, wash their hands and serve meals, building practical independence.

Parents described care, school readiness, confidence and independence positively. Families received daily updates and learning snapshots through an online app. Leaders also worked with families, other professionals and destination schools. The September 2025 inspection concluded that the nursery safeguarded children effectively.

Daily routines were part of the learning rather than interruptions to it. Serving food and washing hands gave children repeated responsibility, while clear expectations helped them understand how their actions affected friends. Songs and rhymes supported language, and adult questions introduced words children could use in play and conversation.

The improvement points matter because they concern the youngest children and consistency across the team. Leaders were asked to strengthen performance management so teaching quality did not depend on which adult was leading an interaction.
