The relaxation and sensory rooms offered quieter places for emotional regulation. For children needing additional support, leaders worked with families and external professionals to arrange appropriate help.

Parent communication had a defined rhythm: staff explained progress and next steps, shared daily information, and made fortnightly calls to families of their key children after acting on feedback. Safeguarding arrangements were judged effective in March 2022. Staff understood how to respond to concerns about a child or colleague, while children learned age-appropriate ways to recognise everyday risks.
