Schools in Skegness

Stretching along the sandy shore of the North Sea, Skegness is a seaside resort and civil parish in the East Lindsey District of Lincolnshire that grew from a small fishing village into a popular holiday town following the arrival of the railway in 1873. Around 21,000 people live here.

The central Skegness area and the nearby village of Hogsthorpe are the school-competitive pockets where families looking for local schooling concentrate, with Ingoldmells forming part of the wider built-up area to the north. Winthorpe and Seacroft are incorporated within the town boundary, and the Nottingham to Skegness railway line connects the settlement to Lincoln and the broader East Midlands rail network.
