Schools in Cambridge

Home to one of the world's oldest universities, Cambridge has shaped British intellectual and scientific life since the University was founded in 1209, drawing scholars to the banks of the River Cam in Cambridgeshire's flat Fenland plain. Academic excellence feeds directly into its economy. Silicon Fen, the technology and life-sciences cluster centred here, has made Cambridge one of England's most significant research cities, with around 123,000 people living within its boundary.

Cambridge's central streets and Trumpington are the city's most school-competitive postcodes, where families concentrate around secondary and sixth-form catchments, while Histon and Arbury carry strong reputations for primary places. The newer Eddington district extends family housing to the western edge. Cambridge station connects to London King's Cross in around fifty minutes via Great Northern services.
